ANCHORAGE — I accompanied hometown hero Fairbanks’ own golden boy, Malcolm Kuntz to the 2nd annual University of Alaska Anchorage Beard n ‘Stache Competition. Kuntz competed in the most competitive category: the grizzly beard. Despite a valiant effort, in the end he was defeated by the overall champion Douglas Renfro.
